From Garden to Growth: What Bee’s & Solidago Teach Us About Business
As a now avid gardener and enjoyer of all things nature and wildlife it has been fun to see what comes into my yard and how different plants can support different insects and critters throughout the seasons. One of the plants that I have planted is called Solidago, also known as Goldenrod. Solidago blooms in the fall becoming a great source of nectar for all types of bee’s.
But here’s the cool part: there are some native bee’s, specialized bee’s, that exclusively feed off of the Solidago. By planting this species, you’re providing life for a bee that ONLY collects from that plant AND the generalist bee, something like the honey bees or bumble bees. One plant to help many.
I like to think of myself as a Solidago. Throughout my time in video production, I have worked with a number of different clients but find myself routinely specializing in health & fitness, outdoors & gardening, and automotive. That doesn’t mean I can’t help all different types of organizations, but I do have a unique insight that health & fitness, outdoors & gardening, and automotive organizations can leverage.
For my other clients, I have learned the best questions to ask to help me understand how to produce the best result possible for them, even if it’s a newer space for me. Because just like a Solidago, I can support a wide range, but I’m especially valuable to a few.
